Colour Q/My Craft Spot and More Challenges Thanksgiving card

Tonight I attempted to make my very first easel card...and I'd say it was a very successful first attempt! I really like the idea of the easel card...I know I've received some really pretty cards and an easel card makes it that much easier to display the card plus the sentiment inside!

I will be entering this for My Craft Spot's challenge #33 which is to make an easel card, Sentimental Sundays #81-Thanksgiving/Thank you card, The Paper Variety's "Thanks" challenge. I will also be entering it in for Colour Q's challenge #111 and the colors to be used are gorgeous for this fall/Thanksgiving season:

Here is my card:
The card laying flat and closed...I love the "Gobble Gobble" stamp I purchased from Hobby Lobby!

And the card propped up easel style with the "Happy Thanksgiving" sentiment.

I used the Celebrate with a Flourish cartridge and I used what rhinestones I had left from my wedding shoes over 2 years ago.

I hope you like it and thanks for looking!! :)

  1. Very clever how you made the card stand without adding extra elements. I think I might lift that idea. Found my way here via your link at TPV. Thanks for sharing.
