Make Your Own Embellishments Let's Scrap INSD Challenge

Hi everyone,

Happy Sunday and I hope everyone had a great National Scrapbooking day yesterday and got a lot done. I didn't get as much done as I would have liked due to working but oh well.

It is my turn to post my challenge this month for our [Inter] National Scrapbooking Day month-long celebration and my challenge is to make your own embellishments to use on a Let's Scrap layout sketch or Let's Scrap card(must do 2 cards to qualify for draw).

Here are my 3 examples I made for this challenge(brand new):

My first layout here I made my own tags by using Tim Holtz’s stamp pads and spritzing them with water. I also made my own twine flowers. This is super easy! Check out the tutorial here. I used sketch 2-8-12.

This next card sample I made my own bookmark. It’s kind of a non-traditional bookmark as I made it using ribbon, a button, and a paper clip. You can also do a traditional bookmark on your creation. The sky’s the limit!! I used card sketch 5-2-11.

My last example is another card where I made my own fanfold flower. I used card sketch 2-16-11.

You want the deets on my challenge?? Then check it out here. Come play along and get your chance to connect with some cool scrappers and get your name in the draw for my RAK. The fun is just beginning....

  1. Thanks for posting such a fun challenge for Let's Scraps INSM celebrations Jennifer. I love all the examples you gave but I especially love those twine flowers, I may have to give those a try.
