Let's Scrap Challenge 134

Hi everyone,

Late night scrapping again after work and by the time I get done posting this, it will possibly be Wednesday.

So tonight's creation is of my senior recital at Minot State University and I have put this on my list of things needing to be scrapped and I have the perfect challenge to submit this for.

Susanna at Let's Scrap posted her DT challenge this past Friday and the challenge was about inspiration and what we do to get in the mood and her's was listening to music and she posted her all-time favorite musical, "Phantom of the Opera". You can read more details about her challenge and even participate by clicking here.

I have more than one way I can use to get in the right mood and my main one being listening to music but I also like looking at ideas online or in my books/mags, scrapping with friends(always more fun), or even just having things planned out so I don't get so frustrated with the length of time planning a page can sometimes take.

I also really love "Phantom of the Opera" and I loved the movie when it came out and it was actually my husband and I's first date. We snuck in Taco John's to eat while we watched. *Shhh!!* So my inspiration came from "Phantom of the Opera".

Here is my take on Challenge 134:

The Phantom's kind of signature was a rose with a black bow w/ a button tied around it so I added that as one of my embellishments. The paper is from DCWV's Immortal stack. I don't like the certain *ahem* vampire series it might be inspired by but it is a gorgeous stack!! Plus it was music!! Perfect for a recital.  The frame on the left side is from the Cricut cartridge "Fancy frames". I also cut the rose from another one of the papers from the stack.
 Some close-ups!!

This is on the paper already and it says "a song for you" and I thought that was a very appropriate title for my senior recital page.
I also used the Let's Scrap sketch 7-13-11:

I think I achieved the dramatic look I was going for and I really loved how the paper had almost a candle-like glow to it which also reminded me of the movie.

Thanks for taking a look tonight and I love reading your comments!!
