Falling For You Paper Play Sketch 49 Challenge

Hello out there!

It has been many years since I've been active on here (4) but now things are more settled in my life and I am back and in the crafting mood again and in our first house which I just realized it's been almost a year that we've been here! Three months away...crazy how time flies.

I am about to go back to school on Monday from summer break (kids come back Thursday but teachers on Monday) but I'm really hoping to be able to craft every now and then. If not during the week, then maybe on the weekends. We'll see how it goes and how busy I am this school year!

So my first papercraft creation in a very long time is a card. I just love making cards and I am using PaperPlay Sketches Sketch 49 to create my card. Since I'm going back to school, my summer is pretty much over and I'm looking onwards to the fall season and decided to make a fall themed card.

I used Create a Critter 2 cartridge to make my fall tree and the leaves are from Create a Critter cartridge. I embossed the white paper behind the tree with a leaves folder for my cuttlebug and inked over it in brown ink. I also embossed the tree with a tree bark folder. The papers are just from a Fall and Halloween stack I got from Hobby Lobby a long time ago. The brown paper also has wood grain of a tree on it. I have so much paper and embellishments that I really need to make sure I use before I go on a craft shopping spree! It's kind of ridiculous!

I'd Fall for You Anytime November Guest Designer Layout

Hi everyone!

Today I made my debut as the November sketch designer on Sketch 'N' Scrap's challenge blog. Here is the sketch we were to use:

This picture is from our Fall pictures we had taken this year and I have so many more I want to scrap! The papers are all from DCWV's Halloween and Fall stack and the sunflowers are from Hobby Lobby and they were just being sold in the Fall section of the store. I'm trying really super hard to use up my stash before I buy anything so I'm glad that I got to use these sunflowers and have one less thing in my stash! *Gasp* Did I actually just say that?? Yes...yes, I did!

Fall Sketch 'n' Scrap Guest Designer Layout

Hi everyone!

Tonight's creation is for Sketch 'n' Scrap's November Guest Designer! Super cute sketch!

Here is my take on it!

 These are pictures from Fall 2010 when we were at Papa's Pumpkin Patch having our pictures taken by our good friend. The papers are from DCWV's Halloween & Fall stack. 

 I had this cute little Fall embellie that is by We R Memory Keepers that I found at the dollar store. Around the circle it says, "Apple picking, pumpkins, leaves, crisp air,hay rides,and cozy evenings". I then added a few sparkly leaves that have rhinestones in them around the title. 

 I then added a sparkly pinecone and an acorn for embellishements....

....and a very cute acorn border that I think accents the papers very nicely! 

Love Fall and I really loved creating this layout. Hope you like it as well! Thanks Sketch 'n' Scrap for this great opportunity and great sketch!! 

DCWV Stack-a-holic Template Challenge--Fall Fun

Hi everyone!

Today's creation is for DCWV's Stack-a-holic September Template Challenge and the sketch they are using is from Sketch Savvy!!

Loved working with this sketch!! Such a fun one!! Here is my take on it!!

I used DCWV's Halloween and Fall stack and all the papers are from the Fall section of course. I had to add a few fall leaves to the corners. They are from a packet of Fall confetti. 

 We went to Papa's Pumpkin Patch the first weekend it was open this year and it was gorgeous outside!! Nice warm temps and still able to wear shorts!!

 I just love all these papers!! Warm Fall colors and the patterns are so much fun!

Happy Fall Y'all Card

Hi everyone!

Where did our weekend go? It's already Sunday night here and tomorrow begins another work week. :P Today's creation is for the first day of Fall which was yesterday. It definitely is Fall here. Cooler temps already and the leaves are changing color and falling already. Love this time of year!!

I cut this cute pumpkin at 3" from the Create a Critter cartridge and the mat he is on is a sizzix die that I cut with my cuttlebug. I inked around it Tim Holt'z Tea Dye distress ink. The pretty Fall paper is from DCWV's Fall and Halloween stack and the leaves ribbon is from Hobby Lobby. The sentiment says "Happy Fall Y'all!!"

 I think he is sooo cute! But then again, the Create a Critter cartridges are my favorites!! I think all the images from these 2 cartridges are so cute!!

Cut It Up Challenge #2--Watch For Falling Leaves

Hi everyone!!

Welcome to challenge #2 at Cut It Up Challenges!! Challenge #2 is to create a fall themed project based on the following photo inspiration:

For my second creation at Cut It Up Challenges, I got to use the brand new Cricut cartridge, Create a Critter 2. I loved the first cartridge and I love this one even more! It has such great year round critters for all your holidays and seasonal creations. I used the Fall tree cut and I popped it up on a homemade action wobble. You can view the tutorial to make your own at My Craft Spot blog. So easy to make!! I cut the two leaves from the Create a Critter cartridge and my patterned paper is from DCWV's Fall and Halloween stack. The twine is from our prize sponsor's this week, Trendy Twine!
