When Witches Go Riding Step Card

Hi everyone! Happy Halloween!! 

I've got another super cute Halloween card that I've made for My Craft Spot's #75--Too Cute to Spook challenge and it's a 3 step card. I'm loving these kind of cards. I think if you're going to send a card, especially for like Christmas and holidays, your receivers should be able to display it easily and easel cards, step cards, or s-fold cards really do the trick!

I used some basic, dark purple paper for the card base. I then cut out my witch, cat, grass, gate, and grave from the Happy Hauntings cartridge.

 I then added my sentiment from My Craft Spot's Spooky Treat's stamp set. It says, "When witches go riding, and black cats are seen, the moon laughs and whispers, 'tis near Halloween". I think it's just an adorable little poem! 

 I added some tiny, green rhinestones to my cat and witch for their eyes. Then I cut some little stars and my moon from the Create a Critter 2 cartridge. The polka dot paper is from DCWV's Halloween & Fall stack. I also inked the grass with Tim Holtz's tea dye distress ink.

There it is! Super cute card(at least I think so) and I hope to make many more of this fold!

Happy Frankenstein's Day+My Craft Spot Challenge

Hi everyone! 

Today's creation is for My Craft Spot's #74-Little Monsters which is to make a creation including a monster.  

I made this fun card with Frankenstein and his bride on it and I thought it was too perfect to post today as I just found out today is also National Frankenstein Day! How fun is that??

 Frankenstein and the bride, the grass, and tombstone are all cut from the Happy Hauntings cartridge. The stars, tree, fence, and castle are all cut from the Create a Critter 2 cartridge. The stamp sentiment, "Have a monsterously fun Halloween" is from My Craft Spot's "Ghostly Greetings" stamp set. This is my first Mountain Valley fold card and I think it turned out so cute!

 I just think these monsters are so darling!!

My Craft Spot Challenge #73 + A Special Announcement

Hi everyone!

Happy Sunday! I have been busy crafting away this weekend with my friend and my sister via Skype. lol It's not just for talking!! It's also for getting your craft on with friends!!

Today's creation is for My Craft Spot's challenge #73--Emboss it! I made this cute Halloween card using patterned papers from a Paper Studio Halloween stack and then to separate the papers, added candy corn ribbon. 

The vampire trick or treater is from the Trick or Treat cartridge and is cut at 2.5" and the mat he is on is a Sizzix die that I cut and then embossed with the swiss dots cuttlebug folder. After I embossed it, I ran some Tim Holtz Black Soot ink over the embossing to give it a nice black color and inked around the edges of the mat. 

Thanks My Craft Spot for another fun challenge and can't wait for the next one! 

I also have a special announcement to make. I just found out that I was chosen as the November guest designer on Sketch 'n' Scrap's blog. Open if You Dare Coffin Treat Box

Here's another little "treat" for you on this lovely Sunday!

I made this cute little coffin treat box for My Craft Spot's challenge #72--A Treat for You challenge. This 3D box is from the Happy Hauntings cartridge and is cut at 6". I cut it in gray and then also cut some layers for the top of the coffin and the inside lining of the cartridge with this purple patterned paper from DCWV's Fall & Halloween stack. I then stamped the purple patterned paper with a spider web and spider.

 I filled my box with candy corn flavored m&m's and different flavored candy corns...

 ...and then tied my box shut with this black and orange twine from Trendy Twine and added the sentiment "Open if you dare!" from My Craft Spot's Happy Haunting stamp set. I think it's so cute and very simple to put together and will be so fun to throw into a trick or treater's candy pail!

Wishing You All the Treats a Day Can Hold Card

Hi everyone!

It's time for another Halloween card! Tonight's creation is for My Craft Spot's Challenge #71-Boo to You which  is to make anything Halloween. I chose to make this cute little caramel apple treat from Create a Critter 2 cartridge. I love this cartridge so much!!

I used the sentiment, "Wishing you all the treats a day can hold!" from My Craft Spot's Candy Corn Kisses stamp set.

 Then on the inside, I used the same mats and stamped "Happy Halloween" from My Craft Spot's Happy Hauntings stamp set.

I haven't had a candy apple in a very long time! Might just have to make some this year for Halloween!! Yummy!

Fall "Leaves" Me Happy!

October already!! Who can believe it?? Today's creation is for My Craft Spot's challenge #70-Falling Leaves which is to include a leaf somewhere on your creation.

All of my papers are from DCWV's Halloween and Fall stack and the die-cut is from Cricut's "Celebrate with a Flourish". The sentiment says, "Fall 'Leaves' Me Happy!"

My Craft Spot #69--We're Tickled Pink!

Hi everyone!

It's now Thursday and the weekend is in the distance! Today's creation is for My Craft Spot's challenge #69-Wild About You challenge which is to include a wild animal somewhere on the project.

I chose to make a baby card today and I used the Create a Critter cartridge and My Craft Spot's "New Arrival" stamp set. The zebra print paper is from the "Baby Safari" stack by the Paper Studio and I used my Martha Stewart punch to punch two borders, one in pink and one in black. I added some pink flower rhinestones to the border and to the corner(unfortunately they did not turn out so well on camera) and then stamped "We're tickled pink" underneath the border.

 On the inside I used some of my scraps and stamped the sentiment, "Bottles and booties, bibs and more, a new little baby to love and adore". I think this turned out so cute and I have another friend that is expecting a boy, so I also want to make a boy version of this cute card!

My Craft Spot Challenge #67-Hope Is

Hi everyone!

Happy Saturday! Hope you are all getting time to relax and are crafting up a storm!

Today's card is for My Craft Spot's Challenge #67-Hope Is Rising challenge which is to make a sympathy or encouragement card. I chose to make a sympathy card.

I used the Sizzix leaves embossing folder in my Cuttlebug and then punched a border with my Martha Stewart punch.

 I then stamped the sentiment, "When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure" and inked red around it and matted it on red paper. I love this quote!

 I then added some red roses and pearls.

 On the inside I used a red and white mat again and stamped "Our hearts, our prayers, and our love are with you" in red on the inside.

My Craft Spot #67 Challenge-Hello Sunshine!

Hi everyone,

Happy crafty Saturday!! Tonight's creation is for My Craft Spot's #67-Splishy Splashy Summer challenge which was to include water on your creation. As some of you know, one of my favorite cartridges is the "Create a Critter" cartridge and I had such a hard time picking out which creature to use for this challenge as there are a lot of cute underwater ones. But, I decided to go with the hippo standing in a water hole and I think she is just so cute!!

I used the "Hello Sunshine" sentiment from My Craft Spot's "Butterfly Kisses" stamp set. Everything else is the Create a Critter cartridge. 

One of the DT members used glossy accents on her project to create that wet look and I had recently purchased glossy accents but hadn't used it yet. So she inspired me to use that on my entry for this challenge this week. Thank you Gigi!!

I think the hippo is so cute and I hope you love this card as much as I loved making it. :) Thanks again My Craft Spot for another wonderful challenge!!

You Are the Fire to my Smore Card

Hi everyone,

Hope your weekend was very relaxing. Tonight's creation is for My Craft Spot's Challenge #66-Under the Stars which is a camping theme.

I made this cute little fire shaped card from the Create a Critter cartridge. He is cut at 7 inches and then I stamped the sentiment "You are the fire to my s'more" on the front.

 I then added a little smore brad to the sentiment that I picked up at our campsite in South Dakota this summer when we went on our Mount Rushmore vacation.

This is the only fire I got to have this summer as when we went camping in SD, there was a fire ban due to the fires in Colorado and all the fire fighters in SD were there helping with their fire. So if we got a fire, we'd be out of luck since their fire fighters were out of state! Alas, we had to make smore's over a stove top. :(

My Craft Spot #65-Come As You Aren't Party Invitation

Hi everyone!

Today's creation is for My Craft Spot's #65--Announcements and Invitations. I decided to try my hand at a shaped invitation. I have been all about upcoming Fall and gearing up for Halloween so I decided I would made an invitation for a Halloween party especially since I just purchased My Craft Spot's Halloween stamp sets.

I made this cute ghost from the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge and welded it in Cricut Craft Room. I also popped up the top of the ghost with foam tape so it looks like you can actually see into his eyes like you would if he had a sheet on. The "Come as you aren't Party" is from the Candy Corn Kisses stamp set.

 The inside of the card looks like this. The "have a screaming good time", Date, Time and Place are all from the Candy Corn Kisses stamp set also. The "Broom Parking 5 cents" sentiment is from the Happy Hauntings stamp set. Then I just drew some lines for writing.

Heads will Roll Headless Horseman Card

Hi everyone!

So today's card will make you want to hang on to your head!! I am so in love with this Happy Hauntings cartridge! The card base is black and measures 4 1/4" by 5 1/2".Then I laid down an orange mat measuring at 4" by 5 1/4" and this brown distressed polka-dotted paper on top I found in a Halloween paper pack and that measures at 3 3/4" by 5". I can't remember what I cut the headless horseman at but I want to say it was 3 or 4"? I did trim the grass on the sides so it fit inside the polka-dot mat. I'm so in love with dimensional cards and so I popped him up on foam tape. Lots of foam tape and I had to cut it very small and thin so that it would fit and not show through under the grass and the other small parts. I made the sentiment myself by stamping individual letters down and tried to make it look like they were rolling/falling! I then stamped around the shape and the shape is from the headless horseman image that is inside a frame. I just stopped the cricut from cutting once it cut this inside part of the frame.

 The inside I just added another orange mat at the same dimensions as the orange mat above and finished the sentiment on the front so that the sentiment says "Heads will roll October 31st" and then stamped "Happy Haunting" below that. The inside stamps are also My Craft Spot's from her Happy Haunting stamp set.

Would a Bad Witch Wear Shoes This Fabulous? Card

Hi everyone!

Hope you all had a great weekend! I spent my day yesterday starting my Halloween cards! Halloween definitely has to be my favorite holiday!!I have a lot of projects planned for this year that I'm hoping to accomplish!

So today's card is made from Cricut's "Happy Hauntings" cartridge and the frame is from "Accent Essentials". So the card is 4 1/4" by 5 1/2" and then I layered the purple mat on top of that and it measures 4" by 5 1/4". I then layered the striped mat on top and this one is 3 3/4" by 5". The frame from "Accent Essentials" is cut at 3" and instead of matching it up, I decided to tilt the black one on top of the white one. The witches shoe is from "Happy Hauntings" and I also cut this at 3" and I used foam tape to give it some dimension.

Quick side story about the "Happy Haunting's" cartridge...I was going to buy it last week at Hobby Lobby and it was $50 still and not much cheaper on amazon or anywhere else. My husband told me to wait a week and I'm so glad he did b/c this past week Wednesday I came in to buy it and it was clearanced and with my employee discount I got the cartridge for $25!! Thanks for making me wait, hubby!!

The stamp is from My Craft Spot's "Candy Corn Kisses" stamp set. I just got this set and it's my first time using it. The sentiments are sooo cute!! The stamp I used is "Would a bad witch wear shoes this fabulous" and I inked around the edges with purple ink and then also popped it up with foam tape!

The inside I kept simple and added the same purple mat in the same dimensions and stamped "Happy Halloween!"

I'm getting really excited for Halloween now and I hope this card makes you excited as well!

A Great Joy is Coming Baby Card

Hi everyone,

So tonight's creation is for My Craft Spot's Challenge #64 which is to make a baby card! I have so many friends and people I work with that are expecting right now that it's just not even funny. So this was a really good challenge for me to do!

So here is the card I created for this challenge. I used Cricut's "Sugar and Spice" cartridge to make this cute little giraffe and then the patterned paper is from the "Little Safari" stack

Snowflakes Are Kisses Sent from Heaven Card

Hi everyone,

Tonight's creation is for Mary at Cardz T.v.'s challenge which is to make a card using a snowflake or a snowman and also My Craft Spot's Challenge #63-Christmas in July challenge. It will be my first Christmas card for this year.

I did a snowflake using Cricut's "Joys of the Season" cartridge. The snowflake papers are from DCWV's Winter stack. and the fun shape to mat the snowflake is from Cricut's "Accent Essentials" cartridge. Once I had everything cut out and glued down, I used foam tape and popped up my snowflake and then I stickled my snowflake with star dust! It is SO sparkly!! I then stamped "Snowflakes are Kisses sent from Heaven"(stamp from My Craft Spot blog) and inked around the edges of the sentiment. I just love it!! It really glitters like real, fresh snow as it falls to the ground. :D

April Showers Card

Evening everyone!

Hope everyone has had a great Sunday and is ready for the new week. Who am I kidding? Who is ever ready for the weekend to be over??

I have another card I just finished making to share with you tonight. I used several images from the "Create a Critter" cartridge. I just love this cartridge!! Too many cute things to use year round!! I also used the newest cartridge(to my collection at least), "Fancy Frames" and I am putting it to work already!! I've used it twice today for both cards!! So here is my cute lil' webbed-footed friend who is ready for Spring:

Here is my cute lil' duck card and he's got his rain boots and umbrella ready for the rain showers. I embossed the cloud and umbrella with the swiss dots cuttlebug folder. The flowers I layered and I also curled them up a lil' bit so they'd pop off the card. I also inked around the cloud and the sentiment with blue ink...

...and on the inside I finished the sentiment and a couple floral images. I haven't gotten into coloring in my stamp images yet but I'm hoping to start doing that soon. The only thing I have at the moment is coloring pencils.

What do you all use to color in your stamps??

I love Valentine's Day...

...So I thought I'd make a ton of Valentine cards!! I'm currently trying to open my own Etsy shop to sell my cards on there. I don't know how successful it will be, but I thought I'd give it a shot.

So here are my card creations for Valentine's Day plus one card for my sister's birthday which was on Friday the 13th! She actually was born on Friday the 13th also.

I also made this one for My Craft Spot's "It's Delicious" challenge. :)

 The first five were made using the create a critter cartridge. I still have many more I want to make!

The above two were made using the Sweethearts cartridge. I also have many more to make with this cartridge.

This is a birthday card. I made this one for my sister and an extra one I will be selling. 

Simple birthday sentiment inside in purple. 

All of the Valentine's cards have this simple sentiment inside in either, red, pink, or purple.

Thanks for taking a look and I'm off to clean up my mess so I can make another tomorrow. Oh yeah, and tomorrow, the hubby and I going on a date to see Beauty and the Beast in 3D...I'm so excited!!
