Frosted Design's Fabulous Friday Challenge-Recipes

Tonight's sketch is for Frosted Design's Fabulous Friday Challenge. It was a recipe challenge.
Here is their recipe:
1. The color yellow
2. Ribbon or lace
3. Chipboard
4. Flowers
5. Misting or inks
6. Buttons
7. Stickers
8. Rub ons


You had to use 4 of the items. I used the color yellow, flowers, buttons, and stickers. I'm really pleased with how this one turned out and I love all the different pictures of the castle.

Thank you for looking! Bed early for me tonight!! In desperate need of sleep catch-up...why can't there be more hours in the day so we have more time to take naps and get all of our work done? 

Frosted Designs Ransom Note Letters

Evening,

This evening I scrapbooked The Festival of the Lion King using a sketch by page maps. I am submitting this to Frosted Designs Fabulous Friday Challenge which is to create a title using Ransom Note Letter style. The pictures had a lot of glare this time and are kind of blurry. Sorry!

Busy Scrappin' Today!

I have completed two challenges already today. One is a two page layout and one is just a one page layout. The first one I created is for Frosted Designs Fabulous Friday Challenge and you are to use tickets, stamps, or envelopes in your design.

In this layout, I have displayed photos of the different things I came up with as we were planning our wedding such as centerpieces, we made and designed our own save-the-dates, invitations, and programs as well as decorating and making my own ring bearer pillows and flower girl baskets. I made a pocket on each page of the 2 pg. layout so I could take my invitation, program, save-the-date out to show someone what the inside and back looked like too. I had some leftover stamps from our wedding invites that I used to decorate the pockets with and my KFYR-TV bridal show ticket that I saved to scrapbook also decorating one of the pockets.

The other challenge is for Color Combos Galore challenge #208 which is to use the color scheme they have and to include pearls in your layout. My pearls are going up the right side of the page alongside the rhinestones. I'm very pleased with the colors and pearls and how whimsical it is. The floral paper is a gift bag one of the gifts came in from our wedding. It was so gorgeous and I knew it would be gorgeous for a layout and it just happened to follow the color combo!

Two Challenges!

Hey Everyone,

I have finished two pages today for two different challenges.

This first one is for the Frosted Designs Sketch Along Tuesdays Layout Sketch #23:

This is my husband's best man and my maid and matron of honor. 

The second challenge layout I did this morning is for Sketchy Thursdays 9.8 sketch challenge: 

This is of our best man and maid of honor signing our marriage license. If you click on the picture, you'll be able to tell better that I used gold glitter glue on the title for a little extra sparkle! I really enjoyed using this layout to use up some of my scraps I had left over from the previous layouts. 

Thanks for checking them out. I'm hoping to work on some more challenges/layouts this weekend. I might only get them planned out today but I should have some tomorrow to post. 

We have our concert tonight at 8:00 p.m. for the decade memorial of 9/11. It shall be quite an emotional event.

Once in a while, in the middle of an ordinary life, love gives us a fairy tale.

That is probably one of my favorite quotes and we also had that printed on our wedding invitations which we made ourselves. My husband even helped by tying every ribbon on the invitations into a square knot. He's such an awesome helper. We didn't see the point of purchasing invitations when we both knew we could make an elegant, one of a kind invitation ourselves.

Today's project was inspired by color combo's galore color combo challenge #207. You had to follow the color palette(Brown nosed professor, I lilac reading, words on white, and I red a lot). Plus you had to use a dictionary or a text pattern to celebrate library month. My photos just happened to have a lilac background and our wedding colors were red and white, plus it was a fairy tale/Cinderella wedding which I thought made it just perfect for this challenge! The background paper I used is a red and lilac floral pattern that also has some faded text of a fairy tale on it. It is from the "Once Upon a Time Glitter Stack."  I also submitted this for Frosted Designs flourish challenge! So here it is:

I have more pages I "finished" today....I just need to attach the title....I ran out of adhesive for my Xyron! I will post those once I get that refilled! Thanks for looking and have a great evening!
