More Christmas Cards!!

Hello, Hello!!

Three new cards I've made today. I have just a few more to go but the ones I've made up until now are for friends and family I won't be seeing for Christmas so they will be put in the mail to go out tomorrow. :) Today we received our first batch of Christmas cards as well. I LOVE getting Christmas cards in the mail...or just mail other than bills in general. Doesn't everyone??

I used paper from DCWV's The Christmas and Winter Stack and  used the  Cricut ink brown cartridge to draw the  gingerbread boy and girl(from the Paper Doll Dress-Up cartridge) and then went back over it to cut them out with the blade. The stamp sentiment says "the joys of Christmas are found in moments shared together" and the stamp is from My Craft Spot as well as the "Merry Christmas!".

I cut this tree and the Merry Christmas using the  Celebrate with a Flourish cartridge. Used the stamp "The sweetest sounds of the season are found in the quiet stirrings of our hearts from My Craft spot and added a little bit of ribbon on the snowflake/music paper and voila!!

So the top light green and white paper is from DCWV's The Christmas and Winter stack and the bottom ornament paper I found at Hobby Lobby(more than likely by the Paper Studio) and then I cut the ornament on top from the Celebrate with a flourish cartridge. The inside I used the Cartoche card from Sweethearts cartridge and intead of folding it like you would do if you were making the card its intended for, I added two red brads where the fold notches are and then inside the cartoche shape I stamped "Merry Christmas" and on the opposite side stamped the Santa in white.  I think I will be entering this one into The Paper Variety's "Anything Goes" challenge.

Time to go watch have some supper and watch some Christmas movies with the hubby(it's our day off together) starting with "It's a Wonderful Life" and also "Polar Express"....possible more...we shall see what time and energy allows for.

Everyone have a great night!!

I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas...

Happy Monday friends!!

Today I made two more Christmas cards to send. Take a look!!

This one I will be entering in to The Paper Variety's Challenge which is to "Create a project inspired by a Christmas song title or lyrics". I went with "I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas". I love the song especially the one by Bing Crosby. Love the musical as well!! It looks fantastic on blu-ray by the way!!!!
The paper is from DCWV's Winter stack and I added some small snowflake embellies over the top of the paper snowflakes and held the easel card up with a big snowflake brad. The stamps are from My Craft Spot

The stamps here are also from My Craft Spot and they say "Wishing you all the happiness your holiday can hold" and "Merriest Wishes". The papers are DCWV's Christmas stack and the poinsettias were made using the "Celebrate with a Flourish" cartridge.
That's all for now! Hoping to get 2 more cards done tomorrow. Christmas is only 13 days away!!

Colour Q/My Craft Spot and More Challenges Thanksgiving card

Tonight I attempted to make my very first easel card...and I'd say it was a very successful first attempt! I really like the idea of the easel card...I know I've received some really pretty cards and an easel card makes it that much easier to display the card plus the sentiment inside!

I will be entering this for My Craft Spot's challenge #33 which is to make an easel card, Sentimental Sundays #81-Thanksgiving/Thank you card, The Paper Variety's "Thanks" challenge. I will also be entering it in for Colour Q's challenge #111 and the colors to be used are gorgeous for this fall/Thanksgiving season:

Here is my card:
The card laying flat and closed...I love the "Gobble Gobble" stamp I purchased from Hobby Lobby!

And the card propped up easel style with the "Happy Thanksgiving" sentiment.

I used the Celebrate with a Flourish cartridge and I used what rhinestones I had left from my wedding shoes over 2 years ago.

I hope you like it and thanks for looking!! :)

Paper Variety Challenge #51

Hey everyone,

I'm entering this layout for The Paper Variety challenge #51 which is to use stickers in your layout. I love how this layout turned out. I used Let's Scrap's 2-9-11 sketch and added 3-D stickers of the dinner table, place mat, and champagne and glasses. I also love using quote stickers and since this is the reception and it's party time, I thought using the "celebrating our lives" sticker was appropriate.

Thank you for looking! :)
